Innalillahi Wa Innalillahi Rojiun

Today is the day that I hope our hearts can come alive.  Today, I am remembering one of the halaqa lectures, in that “bad things never happen to the believer”.  Some situations may look horrible on the outside but ultimately whatever happens to a believer is never bad.  Why? What? In that things happen that are seen and or feel bad on the outside.  However the event brings the believer closer to Allah Swt.  And if we become closer to Allah Swt.  We are the winners.  So in essence the “bad” thing isn’t bad at all because ultimately we come close to Allah Swt.

However, if we are not patient and rather when something bad happens we go nuts, crazy, become angry – then this is a punishment from Allah Swt as with those actions take us further from Allah Swt.

As we are the people of “Laillaha Illallah” it is our duty to be patient with the news about these 3 amazing believers.  As the parents of the victims have requested, please fight hate with love and forgiveness.  I hope for the rest of the Muslim community let’s restart a positive dialogue with our own community.  I know this is hard and not in our own nature (me included!) but it’s so important for us to continue the positive work these 3 young people have opened up to us.

Let’s move forward for #our3winners and #keepthefaith with #amuslima1 🙂

This is how we should be at all times!
