Bored? You want to serve up something “out there”?

How about some shark?

Here is a yummy recipe that you can throw into the Tagine! Great to serve for parties and even better for an intimate meal with the family! I promise (Insha Allah) easy, fast, healthy and yummy!

You will need a Tagine or deep pot like a Dutch oven.
1 small shark cut into steaks
1 eggplant
1 onion
4-5 potato’s
2 large carrots
1 bunch of cilantro
1 lemon
2 small tomato’s
Cauliflower
Green pepper
Olive Oil

Spices:
1 tspn salt
1 tspn pepper
1 tspn cumin
1 tspn ginger
1 tspn tumeric
1 tspn paprika powder

How to make:

Pour Olive Oil at bottom of Tagine – just to cover the bottom of the pan. Stove at low heat.
Add diced onions and then layer in:
– sliced potatoes
– sliced eggplant
– shark
– carrot
– quartered tomato’s
– green pepper
– cauliflower
– cilantro
– squeeze lemon
Add all the spices layer by layer.
Drizzle olive oil
if you have pickled lemons slice up and place over fish.

Add water till slightly covering fish and veggies. Cover with Tagine cover.

Medium to low heat for approximately 30-40 mins. Or till sauce is thick and evaporated.

Serve immediately with fresh bread & Harissa.
