My children are really like eating crepes as their snack. To get a perfect and crispy thin layer crepe, you don’t need a special tool. I try to make it with a non-stick pan then trim it with a scrapper (or whatever you prefer to make the layer thin).
The results are very yummy, believe me ….. Here is how you make it.
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs, beaten off
- 60 g halal unsalted butter, melted
- 60 g sugar
- 200 ml milk
- 200 g flour
- Salt
- Vanilla essence
- Halal sausage, fried briefly with a little butter, then cut into oblique angles
- Ketchup
- Halal cheddar cheese
Or
- Bananas, sliced
- Peanut butter
- Chocolate spread or sprinkles
- Halal cheese, grated
How to Make:
- Mix all ingredients until blended.
- Strain and put it in a container filled with ice cubes or refrigerate until the dough thickens.
- Make the crepe with a crepe’s maker or a non-stick pan.
- Insert the fillings according to taste, fold and serve warm.
Note:
I make crepes using a mixer at the lowest speed. I mix the eggs and sugar first until fairly smooth, stir in the flour and milk alternately, then add salt and vanilla. Finally, I pour the melted butter into it.
If you plan to make crepes for your child’s breakfast, I suggest that you make the dough first the night before then store it in the refrigerator in a sealed container.
Good luck!
