Greetings To The Groom And The Bride

Greetings To The Groom And The Bride

When we attend a wedding ceremony, we often just give congratulations to the groom and the bride without saying any prayer for them. The Prophet (SAW) said a prayer for a newly married coupled so that their marriage would be blessed by Allah (SWT) in shaa Allah.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (RA) that the Prophet (SAW) said congratulations to a new married couple should be, “Baarakallahu laka wa’alaika wa jama’a bainakuma fii khair (May Allah give blessings to you and on you and gather you together in goodness) . “(Hadith narrated by Ahmad, Imam of four and validated by At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Khuzaimah and Ibn Hibban.)
