Here is what you need:
- 1 lb (2.2 kg) fresh large calamari / squid
- sour cream OR plain yogurt
- Dry mixture: flour + baking soda (1/2 tspn)+ salt + pepper + Onion powder
How to:
- Soak the Calamari (cut into round circles) sour cream or yogurt for around 1 hour.
- once soaked
- lift and shake the access sour cream or yogurt
- coat the clamari still wet with the dry mixture.
- heat oil high.
- fry a couple rings at a time.
- should result in almost like restaurant style calamari.
