Halal Recipe Series: Fried Bihun

Bihoon is one kind of foods from Tiong-Hoa, its shape is like noodle but is thinner. In English usually called as rice vermicelli or rice noodles or rice sticks. “Bi” in Tiong-Hoa means rice and “Hun” means flour, so it is made of rice flour. This food is popular in China or South Asia.

Today aMuslima will bring you to try a halal recipe and it is very easy to make.

Here are what you need:

Fried Bihoon

1 pack of Bihun

4 cloves of garlics, sliced

200 gr of shrimps (optional)

200 gr of chicken/beef, finely chopped

50 gr of onion leave, sliced

1 carrot, sliced

2 eggs omelette, sliced

1 tomato, sliced

5 pc celery leaves

2-3 pc of red chilly (optional), oblique slices, set aside a little for decoration

2 tbsp oyster sauce

1 tbsp sesame oil

2 tbsp sweet soy sauce

1 tbsp soy sauce

5 tbsp vegetable oil

 

How to make:

  1. Soak bihun in warm water until soft, remove and drain
  2. Heat oil, and sauté garlic until fragrant, put shrimp and chicken, cooks until it changes colour.
  3. Put onion leave, oyster sauce, sesame oil, chillies, soy sauce and salt, and stir, then put bihun, cook until done, remove from the heat.
  4. You can add omelette, fresh tomato, chilly and celery to decorate on top
