How to Wrap/Fold Samosa

A Samboosa or Samosa is a fried or baked pastry with a salty filling and mostly popular in South Asia, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Southwest Asia, the Arabian Peninsula, the Mediterranean, the Horn of Africa, north Africa, or South Africa (Wikipedia).

The food is similar to spring rolls that we commonly know, but samosa has a unique triangular form. I learn how to wrap/fold samosa from my assistance at home who had worked to the Arab family. It is not too difficult to follow. Spend your time to make it together with your children. Have fun!

Supplies needed are:

  1. Leaves of samosa (usually is available in supermarkets)
  2. The filling (i.e. stir and cook garlic, pepper, salt, meat / chicken minced/ vegetable, celery, small slice of cream cheese can be added according to taste)
  3. Half a tablespoon of flour dissolved in water as a glue
