It comes the night called Laylat ul-Qadr

We are almost in to last ten days blessed month (Ramadhan) which the days and nights are the most virtues and blessed. It comes the night called Laylat ul-Qadr, which is a night equivalent to a thousand months. Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala  states in Qur’an 97:3 “The Night of Power is better than a thousand months”.  The night which is the most blessed and excellent of all nights.

Though all parts of Ramadan are full of blessings and rewards, its last ten days hold a special status reflected in the recommendations and practices of the Messenger of Allah

This period of time is a golden opportunity that comes once in a year. Ramadan is a virtues month which makes it unique among other months of the year.

A prayer during this night is superior to the prayer of a thousand months. The destiny for the year is decided on this night. The Angels and Roohul Ameen (a highly dignified Angel) descend on this earth, with the permission of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala .

Oh muslimah, when Ramadhan enters the last ten days , why not we do what Rasulullah Shalallahu ‘alayhi wassalam did, waking up the  family members for the same purpose, to do ibadah, perform pray Tahajjud / qiyamul lail (voluntary night prayers), making dua. Although there is no compulsion in religion, it is desirable that we convince our wives/husband and children to wake up at night and worship Allah, Lord of Mercy and Majesty. It is a great opportunity that every muslim and their family should have the best during this time and not miss them. The last then days of Ramadhan are the conclusion of this blessed month and what count in deeds are how they end.

That’s whywe should strive hard in worshipping Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala by should not waste the hours of these days n nights. We should spend these nights in worship and seek forgiveness, reward, and blessings of Allah. We don’t know if we can meet Ramadhan again next year, then we regret that we didn’t take the advantage of these .

So, keep performing act or worship to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala by  encouraged to diversify our devotion which may include recitation of the holy Qur’an, glorifying Allah with appropriate words of remembrance (dzikr), giving gratitude to Allah  Subhanahu wa Ta’ala  and observing nafilat prayers or similar acts of worship.

Rasūlullāh Sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: Whoever stands (for prayer at night) during Laylatul-Qadr (the Night of Decree) with faith and hoping for reward, he will be forgiven for all of his previous sins.”  [Al-Bukhari, Muslim]

In a hadith from ‘Aishah (radiallāhu`anha) who said, “When the last ten days (of Ramadhān) began, the Prophet Sallallāhu ‘alaihi wa sallam, would tie his lower garment (izār) tight, stay up at night, and wake his family (to offer acts of worship).”

‘Aishah (radiallāhu`anha) said: I asked the Messenger of Allah: ‘O Messenger of Allah, if I know what night is the night of Qadr, what should I say during it?

Rasūlullāh Sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam said:

إِللْهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي

Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘annee.

“Oh Allah, you are the best forgiver, beneficent and merciful. You love forgiveness so forgive me.” (at- Tirmidhi)

We pray to Allah All Mighty Most Merciful to bless us this Ramadan by witnessing Laylatul-Qadr Insha Allah. Aameen Ya Rabbal’alameen.

Praise be to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, the Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the Trustworthy Prophet Muhammad Sallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam  and upon all his family and companions.
