Knowing the signs when we get further away from Allah SWT.

Without us knowing a lot of things in daily life, syaitan is constantly whispering within ourselves and after awhile these habits become part of us.aMuslima Muslim Woman Poster We show this in the form of words, actions, behaviors in our daily life and sometimes even when we’re worshiping.

  • “And “O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat from wherever you will but do not approach this tree, lest you be among the
  • wrongdoers.” Al-Araf |19
“But Satan whispered to them to make apparent to them that which was concealed from them of their private parts. He said, “Your Lord
  • did not forbid you this tree except that you become angels or become of the immortal.” Al-Araf | 20
  • “And he swore [by Allah ] to them, “Indeed, I am to you from among the sincere advisors.” Al-Araf | 21
  • “So he made them fall, through deception. And when they tasted of the tree, their private parts became apparent to them, and they
  • began
  • to fasten together over themselves from the leaves of Paradise. And their Lord called to them, “Did I not forbid you from that
  • tree and tell
  • you that Satan is to you a clear enemy?” Al-Araf | 22

So, syaitan (devil, ibliss) will NEVER give up.

How can we conscientiously know when we are crossing the line from being close to Allah and being far from Allah?

Habitually, people move from a happy to a sad state quite fluidly.  We are creatures of emotions and it is these emotions in which we fall prey to Syaitan’s whispers.  It is easy for us to be happy about something then quickly think of the flaw of that happiness.  This flaw we are feeling is a “sting” from Syaitan that encourages us to say or think bad things about the happy feeling we feel.  An example would be: You are attending a get together with other sisters and you see a sister whom you haven’t seen in a long time.  In meeting her you are overcome by true joy and happiness at that moment but while being happy, thoughts come to you such as, oh, she looks great for her age I bet she had plastic surgery done to her.  And then we say the words WOW! You look great! But in our hearts we tell ourselves she looks great because she had some work done on her face and I think I look better than her.  This is an example of the Syaitan masterpiece! Beware!  Of these notions and feelings!  Syaitan promised Allah SWT that he will NOT leave us alone.

In his words: (Sahih International)

“So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the fitrah of Allah upon which He has created [all] people. No change should there be in the creation of Allah . That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know “. (QS: Arrum: 30)

In dealing with children:

I often say to children, control your emotions, let us face the  demons by praying, being  nice to everyone and enforce good habits such as finishing our food, not wasting, remembering to pray and to think good thoughts.  When the children face issues at school or any problems whatsoever, I remind them that Allah is with them.  Protecting their every movement, thoughts and hearts.  This helps the children greatly because by reminding them about their creator allows them to always feel safe even though I am not around.  Keeping up positive thoughts close the door to any Syaitan activity which wants those little hearts to be saddened always!

Say, “O My servants who have believed, fear your Lord. For those who do good in this world is good, and the earth of Allah is spacious. Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account.” Az-Zumar | 10
