وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ جَعَلْنَا مَنسَكًا لِّيَذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّـهِ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُم مِّن بَهِيمَةِ الْأَنْعَامِ ۗ فَإِلَـٰهُكُمْ إِلَـٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ فَلَهُ أَسْلِمُوا ۗ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُخْبِتِينَ
And for every nation We have appointed religious ceremonies, that they may mention the Name of Allah over the beast of cattle that He has given them for food. And your Illah (God) is One Illah (God/ Allah), so you must submit to Him alone (in Islam). And (O Muhammad pbuh) give glad tidings to the Mukhbitun (QS Al Hajj 22:35).
لَن يَنَالَ اللَّـهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَاؤُهَا وَلَـٰكِن يَنَالُهُ التَّقْوَىٰ مِنكُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ سَخَّرَهَا لَكُمْ لِتُكَبِّرُوا اللَّـهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَاكُمْ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah, but it is piety from you that reaches Him. Thus have We made them subject to you that you may magnify Allah for His Guidance to you. And give glad tidings (O Muhammad pbuh) to the Muhsinun (QS Al Hajj 22:37).

With mentioning Allah Almighty, his sturdy hand wielded a sword. The sharp sword of selected metal sparkling reflected the morning sun, ready to snuff out the life of his beloved son, who he had awaited for hundred years. Now resignedly awaited his fate laying death.
The sword swung quickly. Accompanied by Takbeer echoed filled the whole valley, Ibrahim closed his eyes tightly.
Ibrahim might be regret, because he did not witness the terrifying moments that happened in front of him. Within a second, before the blade touched the skin surface of his son’s neck, big miracles occurred. And when Ibrahim opened his eyes, a sheep died flounder with an incision in the neck, replaced the position of Ismail, Prophet Ibrahim’s son.
The greatest human history moment has occurred. The main actor was Prophet Ibrahim AS who willingly sacrificed his world ego for the sake of Allah SWT’s blessings. Even sacrificed his only son who had been awaited for hundreds years, and survived after being left in a barren desert. All superiority of Ismail should not dazzle Ibrahim AS from his duty for Allah’s bless. Everything must be sacrificed as there is nothing more valuable than Allah SWT’s bless.
The event is marked as the beginning of Eid Al Adha. Allah SWT commands Muslims who are able to cleanse their soul and property with sacrificing animals. A form of concern for others, develop empathy and cleanse hearts from greed and avarice by sacrificing animals.
