And (remember) when We said to the angels, you prostrate to Adam! “Then they prostrated except Iblis: he
refused.
Then We said, “O Adam, indeed this (Satan) is an enemy to you and to your wife. Then let him not remove you from Paradise, so you would suffer.
Indeed, it is [promised] for you not to be hungry therein or be unclothed.
And indeed, you will not be thirsty therein or be hot from the sun.
Then Satan whispered to him: he said, “O Adam, shall I direct you to the tree of eternity and possession that will not deteriorate?” (QS: Taha 116-120).
By all means satan will keep trying and trying so that we will not obey the commandments. But we should understand it and try to look, what kind of evil we must be cautious.
Media recently is so great with a variety of satan visual forms, various types, shapes, as well as from a variety of characters corresponding in what country of origin the devil is, either for what purpose, but successfully make the children believe that its form is like that of is envisaged by media, devil in the form of human creation.
Often some children who were playing could be scuttled because they saw a figure in the form of their imagination that has been formed by what they saw from several media, creepy figure with a very, very ugly face or it jumped up and down.
O Children of Adam, let not Satan tempt you as he removed your parents from Paradise, stripping them of their clothing to show them their private parts. Indeed, he sees you, he and his tribe, from where you do not see them. Indeed, We have made the devils allies to those who do not believe (QS: Al-Araf; 27).
Media has successfully created ghosts as they wish, children become a coward, afraid to go to places that looks creepy for children, succeed to create a demon is a figure that should they fear, but there should be another figure to be feared that is Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala.
“Mom, devil is like that in the movie, is not it?” asked one of my children when he saw an advertisement.
“Son, Satan is a supernatural being that cannot be seen by human same as angels, they are both creations of Allah but we cannot see them”
For me, my own explanation of devil to children is when we are angry, lazy to do worship, fighting, breaking the commands of Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala, it associated with something that is not good and bad traits. “It is demon in truth, they have mastered our minds, driving our deeds and behaviors, into our brains and corrupting our minds with bad ideas, attitudes, and behavior.”
Often I explained or called to the children, let’s pray! do not let the devil laugh out loud because Satan successfully tempts us. We cannot see them but they can see us when they succeed to tempt us.
And remember when Satan made their deeds pleasing to them and said, “No one can overcome you today from among the people, and indeed, I am your protector.” But when the two armies sighted each other, he turned on his heels and said, “Indeed, I am disassociated from you. Indeed, I see what you do not see, indeed, I fear Allah. And Allah is severe in penalty” (QS Al-Anfal: 48).
Recite the following du’a to seek refugee from all the evil,
اَللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي, لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ, خَلَقْتَنِي, وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ,
وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اِسْتَطَعْتُ, أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا
صَنَعْتُ, أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ, وَأَبُوءُ لَكَ بِذَنْبِي, فَاغْفِرْ
لِي; فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ اَلذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
“O Allah, You are my Lord, there is no god of truth except You, You created me while I was a servant, and me thy word above bond (i.e always run your covenant of faith and sincere in carrying out charitable obedience to You ) with my best, I seek refuge in You from all the evil that I have done, I acknowledge Thee for Thy favors to me and I acknowledged my sin to You, so forgive me, actually no one should forgive all sins except You. “
