Reaching Your Rizq

……He (Zechariah) said, ” O Mary from where is this [coming] to you?” She said, ” It is from  Allah. Indeed, Allah provides from whom He wills without account.” (QS. Ali Imron: 37)

A five year old boy struggles with his four-wheeled bicycle. He is still reluctant to pedal but he shall continue to ride his bike so it can run.

In a few months later, his mother helps him to learn with two wheels bike. Falls, gets up, falls, and the boy tries it again and again, continues to try until …Yup..the two wheels bike could be driven very well. With the joy the boy pedals and glides with his two wheels ride.

A wheel will turn if it is pedaled and will stop when we stop pedaling. The wheel does not rotate and may be broken, if we do not continue to run. Some people think that rizq (fortune) is as a wheel …

As slaves we never know whether our wheel will be at the top, bottom, crushing or crushed. But we must believe that the Giver of rizq will never stop giving, when the wheel is keep rotating and turning, our rizq will continue to flow.

..Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of people until they change what is in themselves…..             (QS.Ar-ra’d: 11)

I stares at the rain, when a seller of fried food stops by near my house, diligently with various food, carefully sorting and frying some for sale. Other sellers pass in front of my house, meatballs soup, dumplings, bread sellers are still the same people when I left Indonesia five years ago. Still with their cheerfulness, their hospitality greet me and my children who have been grown up. Without complaining, no sad faces tell me about their foods. I just smile and response their stories.

Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity….(QS Al Baqarah: 286)

O Allah … forgive your servant .. who never be grateful .. with various favours that You give

Currently I might be at the top of wheels but I cannot stop pedalling my wheels. The same as the foods sellers who always pass in front of my house, they  continue to run their wheels, for the sake of their survival, ا ن شآ ء الله their wheels also will be above, as they tirelessly continue to run their wheels.

And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, ‘If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.’  (QS.Ibraheem: 7)
