To-Do List Before The Wedding

Most of us girls, if not all, are known to be super conscious of how we look from head to toe. The wedding day is one of those special occasions that calls for more time and attention.

Below is a list of some of the things that you should focus on a few months to a few days prior to your big day:

Wedding Gown and Accessories

Some couples have one whole year to prepare for their wedding and some just a few months before being married. 4-6 months is considered ideal for having your gown designed and prepared by the couturier of your choice.

Wedding Shoes

Some couturiers will even give you tips on what kind and design of shoes will best match your gown. Every traditional dress has their own shoes or slippers to go with the wedding Gown.

Matching Jewelery

The jewelry should match the gown. Some brides will wear traditional dresses from their country and some of them will wear a white gown. Every gown has its own suitable jewelry.

Hair & Makeup

Normally, there is an expert of makeup and hair dressing to make you look beautiful for “the” day where you are the queen.

Teeth Whitening

You must smile many times during your big day and you’ll have your photos taken numerous times. Needless to say, an appointment with your dentist has to take place at least a few weeks to one full month before the wedding if you want the whitening of your teeth.

For shaving (this for man), do it the day before the wedding and make sure you indulge yourself in a very relaxing bath so that your skin will feel fully rested and fresh afterwards.

Nails

Make sure you schedule your manicure & pedicure two days before your wedding. In some countries like Indonesia and India, the bride will decorate her hands with henna.

Facials

If you would like to treat yourself to a facial at a spa, consult a dermatologist first. If you’re decided on it, make sure to schedule it at least 1 month before the wedding especially if it is your first time and you have sensitive skin.

Healthy Lifestyle

Every woman wants to be the most beautiful princess on her wedding day. To attain this, premarital health care of the body and the intake of food and beverages that are nutritious must be observed to maintain the health and vitality of the body.

    • Enough sleep allows your body to regenerate and it is the best way to achieve that beautiful and fresh looking face that’s ready for your wedding makeup for enhancing, not covering.
    • Healthy eating will not only boost your immune system and keep you from being sick, but eating fruits and vegetables will also make your skin smooth, clear and radiant.
    • Exercise, of course, will get you a slimmer, toner body that will give you the confidence to rock your awesome wedding gown!
