Verses of Al-Qur’an that may be Recited to Heal Illnesses

Each person must have felt pain, whether a little pain which will recover soon or illness that does not heal even for years. No one expects pain. But with this pain/illness Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta’ala tests one’s faith. Will he/she be patient with it? Persistence in praying for his/her recovery? Or otherwise…… complain and despair? Naudzubillahi  min dzalik.

Dear Muslima, Allah has given cures in the verses of Qur’an. Pray to Him with sincerity, patience, and continually the following verses while holding part of your pain, inshaa Allah, Allah will give you cure. If it still has not healed, means Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta’ala still wants to hear the prayer of His servant. Do not ever stop praying.

Verses of Al-Quran are cure
Verses of Al-Quran are cure

1. Surah Al-Isra 82

Wa nunazzilu minal quraani maa huwa shifaauw wa rahmatul lil mu’miniina wa laa yaziidu ththaalimiina illaa khosaara

And We send down of the Qur’an that which is healing and mercy for the believers, but it does not increase the wrongdoers except in loss.

2. Surah Yunus 57

Yaa ayyuhannaasu qad jaa atkum maw’ithatum mirrabbikum wa shifaa ullimaa fissuduuri wa hudaw warohmatul lilmu’miniin

O mankind, there has come to you instruction from your Lord and healing for what is in the breasts and guidance and mercy for the believers.

3. Surah An-Nahl 69

Thumma kulii min kulli ththaamaraati faslukii subula robbiki dhulula yakhruju mim butuu nihaa sharaabum mukhtalifun alwaanuhuu fiihi shifaaul linnaasi inna fii dhaalika la aayatal liqawmiy yatafakkaruun

Then eat from all the fruits and follow the ways of your Lord laid down [for you].” There emerges from their bellies a drink, varying in colors, in which there is healing for people. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought.

4. Surah Al-Fushilat 44

Wa law ja’alnaahu qur’aanan a’jamiyyal laqaaluu lawlaa fussilat aayaatuhuu a’jamiyyuw wa ‘arabiyyun qul huwa lilladhiina aamanuu hudaw wa shifaaun walladhiina laa yu’minuunna fii aadhaanihim wa qruw wa huwa ‘alayhim ‘aman ulaaika yunaadawna mim makaanim ba’iid

And if We had made it a foreign [i.e. non-Arabic] Qur’an, they would have said, “Why are its verses not explained in detail [in our language]? Is it a foreign [recitation] and an Arab [messenger]?” Say, “It is, for those who believe, a guidance an cure.” And those who do not believe – in their ears is deafness, and it is upon them blindness. Those are being called from a distant place.

5. Surah At-Tauba 14

Qaatiluu hum yu’adhhib humullahu bi ‘aydiikum wa yukhzi him wa yansur kum ‘alayhim wa yashfi suduu ra qawmim mu’miniin

Fight them; Allah will punish them by your hands and will disgrace them and give you victory over them and satisfy the breasts [i.e. desires] of a believing people.

6. Surah Al-Mukminun 115-118

Afahasibtum annamaa kholaqnaa kum ‘abatha wwa annakum ilaynaa laa tur ja’uun

Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?

Fata’aalallaahul malikul haqqu laa ilaaha illaa huwa robbul ‘arshil kariim

So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne.

Wa may yad’u ma’a Allaahi ilaahan aakhoro laa burhaana lahuu bihii fa innamaa hisaa buhuu ‘inda robbihii innahuu laa yuflihul kaafiruun

And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof –then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed.

Wa qur rabbighfir war ham wa anta khoyrur raahimiin

And [O Muhammad], say, “My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the  merciful.”

7. Surah Al-Hashr 21-24

Law anzalnaa haadhal quraana ‘alaa jabalil lara aytahuu khaashi’am mutasaddi ‘am min khashyatillaahi wa tilkal amthaalu nadhribuhaa linnaassi la’allahum yatafakkaruun

If We had sent down this Qur’an upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and splitting from fear of Allah. And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will give thought.

Huwallaahul ladhii laa ilaaha illaa huwa ‘aalimul ghaybi wash shahaadati huwar rahmaanur rahiim

He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. He is the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.

Huwallaaahul ladhii laaa ilaaha illaa huwal malikul qudduusus salaamul mu’minul muhayminul ‘aziizul jabbaarul mutakabbiru subhaanallaahi ‘ammaaa yushrikuun

He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Perfection, the Bestower of Faith, the Overseer, the Exalted in Might, the Compeller, the Superior. Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.

Huwallaahul khaaliqul baariul musowwiru lahul asmaaul husnaa yusabbihu lahuu maa fissamaawaati wal ardhi wa huwal ‘aziizul hakiim

He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor, the Fashioner, to Him belong the best names. Whatever is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
